By Peter Atkinson, Contributor monday, April,24 2006 Slayer really needs no formal introduction. They have been the embodiment of uncompromising thrash metal brutality, rage and genuine evil for 25 years — a band justifiably feared by parents, church officials and moral purists everywhere. And with their rampaging 1986 masterpiece Reign In Blood, perhaps the most vicious 28 minutes ever caught on tape, they set a standard no one else has been able to touch. |

And unlike nearly all of their early-era contemporaries — from Metallica and Anthrax to Megadeth and Exodus — Slayer never strayed from their signature style and sound, which continues to influence other bands to this day: no rap-metal shenanigans, no friggin’ horn sections and no bowing to mainstream convention. They may not have sold as many records as some, but Slayer’s integrity has never been in question. Today, Slayer remain one of the consummate and most formidable live acts in any form of music. Up-and-coming underground bands — from Machine Head and Testament way back when to Arch Enemy and Mastadon — look at playing with Slayer as a rite of passage. Survive a Slayer tour — and the derisive "Slay-er! Slay-er! Slay-er!" chant from the band’s always ravenous, unforgiving audience — and you can survive anything. With prodigal drummer Dave Lombardo back in the fold, the original Slayer line-up that debuted with 1983’s Show No Mercy with frontman/bassist Tom Araya and guitar tandem Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are now finishing up work on their first studio album together since 1990’s Seasons In The Abyss and preparing to headline the first Unholy Alliance Tour of the U.S., which kicks off, fittingly, on 6/6/06 in San Diego. It seems every once and awhile you need an outspoken individual to reveal the truth to the public despite the risk of not being taken seriously by those who are in denial and who prefer to live in a blind stupor. James Cramer has been brave enough to speak openly on camera about a trend that’s been happening for years now in regard to AMD vs Intel in the Tech and Stock Market. And his advice will sound like screeching nails on a chalk board to those who are Intel Loyalist or fanatics. You know who they are. These are people who find themselves blindly supporting a company, which for several years now has been having internal problems while producing inferior products, despite all the marketing hype. These people are now finding themselves confused and showing all types of negative psychological problems as a direct result of watching their larger and wealthier beloved company weaken, crumble and become a follower at least in regard to their CPU department.
The mental problems these folks face consist of denial, paranoia, misplaced loyalty and worst of all Fanatical Idol worshiping syndrome. Whereby an individual takes a product and/or company and turns it into a religious experience by getting too emotionally attached to it. Whether its the shiny Logo or the catchy name or jingles or even all of the above that gets them mesmerized is uncertain but many do attribute it to a mental weakness. These people in spite of all the evidence being brought before them continue to disbelieve the facts. Instead of focusing on the issue they prefer to see it as an attack on their now disturbing belief system. However the truth as painful as it is for these people will continue to reveal itself whether by means of a colorful character or investigative journalist and sooner or later despite all the attempts to keep it from the masses, it will eventually take over and become widely known. New changes will arise at a rapid and unstoppable force and alot of tears will be shed. For now at least you have a fair warning ahead on time.
So watch James Cramer’s video recap and listen to his advice, which is still Valid, at this link while it’s still available –> Link

Comcast Corp. and Sony Corp. will launch a horror films on-demand cable, Internet and wireless network on Halloween this year, an executive at the top U.S. cable operator said on Sunday. Movies for the yet-to-be named network, which will debut on October 31 and expand Comcast’s programing lineup, come from more than a thousand horror titles in the Sony and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer libraries. The Japanese electronics giant and investors, including Comcast, purchased the legendary Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie studio a year ago. At the time, the parties said they planned to troll through the libraries, which include the Pink Panther and James Bond series, to create new cable and Internet networks. Starting with horror films was a "no-brainer" because of the "emotional connection" of such films, said Diane Robina, president of Comcast’s emerging networks, in an interview.
"It’s about scaring the heck out of you," Robina said.
