Late grunge rocker makes his videogame debut.

When Guitar Hero 5 drops this September, it will mark the videogame debut of grunge rock pioneer Kurt Cobain. The virtual representation of Nirvana’s late frontman will be featured as a playable character —

one of five exclusive in-game artist in the anticipated release. He’ll play two of the band’s most popular singles "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Lithium." The band have had numerous songs featured in the Guitar Hero games before ("Heart-Shaped Box," "About a Girl," "You Know You’re Right," "Sliver," "Negative Creep," "Very Ape," "Sappy," and "Stay Away" for those keeping track), but this is the first time their most prolific hit has appeared in the series, or in any entertainment property for that matter.
